OSA Early Career Best Poster Competition
We are excited to announce the OSA Early-Career Best Poster Competition (OSA ECBPC), kindly sponsored by OSA, and organised by its Student Chapter at Imperial College (Imperial College Optics Society). A £250 prize will be awarded both to the best theoretical and the best experimental poster presented. Participants in the competition may be PhD students or postdoctoral researchers within 2 years of their PhD award date who are presenting a poster at Waves in Time-Varying Media.
All posters should be prepared following these guidelines. However, in order to enter the OSA ECBPC (if the option of entering the ECBPC was chosen upon abstract submission, whose deadline is May 5th), a link to a 3-minute recording of the author presenting the research outlined in the poster (flash-talk) must be submitted (the talk may be uploaded on YouTube as unlisted, further instructions will be provided on how to do this). The winners will be decided following the gather.town poster session on June 30th and announced at the closing ceremony of the event.
ECBPC participants will have the opportunity (optional) to have links to their flash-talks uploaded to the workshop webpage, and shared via Twitter during the week prior to and following the workshop. We also strongly encourage all participants to upload their poster on Twitter, tagging @waves_ic and using the hashtag #TimeMatters.
The deadline for poster and video submission will be 6pm (EST) on the 9th of June 2021, and details of the submission process will be sent by email upon acceptance of the poster abstract. Should you have any further queries please contact us at email@example.com.
